Katrina Fisher (USA), MA

katrina.fisherKatrina Fisher served in the Nebraska National Guard as a (63B20) Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. As an enlisted Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Sergeant Katrina Fisher was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2003-2004) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2006-2007) with the 1074th Transportation Headquarters Company.

During Katrina’s deployment in Iraq her sole responsibility was to ensure vehicle operations stayed above ninety percent working capabilities, ensured all ASV turrents were operating and sited in correctly, and ensured her squad was mission ready. Katrina’s company was tasked to be Convoy Security where she went on several missions performing the following positions: wrecker operator, TC, driver, and gunner. Katrina also organized a Peace Keeping mission with the local Iraqis to help promote health and wellness, alongside the U.S. Marines. Between deployments she gained her education at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, and achieved her Bachelors in Social Science. She then gained her Master’s Degree in Human Arts: Human Services: Marriage and Family Therapy.

Katrina began working with the Tulsa Vet Center-VA in December 2011 where she is the Veteran Outreach Program Specialist and focuses on the Combat Veteran and their needs within the Vet Center and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
